Barbara Kohn has extensive experience in business to business and
business to consumer public relations and writing. Before launching her consulting service,
Kohn was senior vice president of the Silicon Valley Office of Brodeur
Worldwide, the third largest global technology public relations firm. There,
she grew the office from three people in 1995 to almost 25 with billings of
nearly $3 million in 1999. Kohn also served as a vice president at Thomas
Associates (now Ketchum Public Relations), vice president at Edelman Public
Relations, and vice president/general manager of Miller Communications Silicon
Valley office.
Kohn has worked with emerging and established companies in
the US and Europe across a wide range of industries. Among her clients are such
industry leaders as Philips Consumer Electronics, Oracle, Xerox Document
Management Systems, LSI Logic, Infineon, NVIDIA, Plantronics, The Tech Museum
of Innovation and BIOTONE Emerging companies she has helped establish include Blogit, BWise, DemandTec, and Tymphany.
Kohn holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism
from the University of Arizona. She also has served as an adjunct professor of
Public Relations at San Jose State University and a visiting lecturer in Public
Relations at Cambridge University, College of San Mateo and DeAnza College.
